Many of us move through our days carrying quiet questions we rarely have time to sit with. Questions about meaning, belonging, truth, and the stories we live by. In the rush to keep going, these questions are often silenced, until they return through the body, the heart, and lived experience.
My work creates spaces where we can slow down and deeply listen.
And this is where the story begins.

What Is Real?

What Is Real?
A novel When Jan inherits a long-abandoned ancestral mansion rising from the sands of the Egyptian desert, she believes it is only stone and silence, until the walls begin to whisper, and stories long buried rise to meet her. Is the house haunted, or is it her own heart calling? Every knock on the heavy doors demands an answer. We all hear the knock. Few listen. Fewer still respond. Part mystery, part fable, part journey of the soul, this novel invites you into a world where the boundary between reality and imagination dissolves, and every story holds the power to heal and restore, or to shatter and consume. |

Stories shape who we are and how we see the world.
My work lives at the meeting point of storytelling, creative imagination, and embodied awareness. Through novels, gatherings, and shared reflection, I create spaces where people can listen more deeply - to themselves, to one another, and to the quiet questions asking to be lived.
This work is for those who sense that something essential has been lost, and are willing to pause long enough to listen.
Bringing stories to life together
I facilitate talks, workshops, and retreats - online and in person - that invite participants into reflective, story-based, and expressive art experiences.
These gatherings are not about instruction or fixing. They are spaces of storytelling, listening, shared inquiry, and creative engagement, where meaning is allowed to emerge in its own time.

Storytellers & Alchemists
A living community for women drawn to story, meaning, and shared reflection.
Storytellers & Alchemists is a gentle, ongoing circle where women gather to listen, reflect, and speak from lived experience. We meet over Zoom on the first Sunday of every month.
There is no pressure to perform, heal, or arrive. Only an invitation to be present with one another and the stories that shape us.
This community is for women drawn to listening more deeply - to themselves, to story, and to the questions that quietly shape their lives.
The Deeper Path:
A psychospiritual model in development
7 Valleys, 3 Companions & 4 Birds
Alongside my public work, I am developing a deeper body of work shaped over years of embodied practice, symbolic imagination, and moral inquiry.
This work -- including the foundational insights of Body Whispers - is being shaped into a future path for therapists, counsellors, and facilitators who feel called to work with depth, meaning, and moral imagination.
This offering is unfolding slowly, with care.
Those drawn to this work will be invited in time.

About Amira Ayad
Amira is an author, storyteller, and facilitator whose work explores the intersections of story, imagination, embodiment, and meaning. Her earlier work, Body Whispers, focused on listening to the body’s symbolic language, a practice that eventually led her into deeper questions of narrative, perception, and what is real.
She facilitates workshops, retreats, and reflective gatherings internationally, creating spaces where stories can be remembered and meaning restored.
